SunBlock

New in: Check out these Balenciaga havana bad boys. Soon to be mine and bought at less than half their original price. Boy do I love it when I find a bargain. Love at first sight, 'they will be perfect', I thought. Oversized sunglasses dont work for me because of my rather small and oval shaped face. These are smaller and even though I do believe that oversized is elegant, I believe these will cause the same effect.

It has been a dull summer in London, but when my masters is done I will finally get to have some summer me-time. See me on the beach with these sunglasses and wearing this. Retro beach babe?

Givenchy prefall12

Perfect symmetry is what came to mind when I first laid eyes on this collection. The jackets are what did it for me; elegant and perfectly tailored to fit a modern and chic woman. I don't know if it is just these shots, but I can sense that the clothes definitely give a powerful edginess to the women wearing them.  The statement boots complete these outfits and take them to a level of perfection. I'm in love with the jackets with the red detail, the bold colour makes the whole outfit 'pop'!

Eudes De Santana

Eudes De Santana is a fashion and advertising photographer, born and raised in Brazil, now living and working in Barcelona, Spain. Most of his work is for professional campaigns, editorials and spreads. I love his pictures because they look so 'fresh' and are different from most fashion editorials out there which in my opinion can sometimes look over-edited, almost losing the essence of 'truth' in the background and model. He gives just the right amount of brightness and lightness to his pictures, making the result look effortless, like he just found a moment and snapped, without much thinking given to it. These are some of my favourite pictures of his, make sure to visit his website for a lot more!

01.01.12

Happy belated new year everyone! I have been in a mood of idleness these holidays and  now realize how foolish that was as I have heaps of coursework piled up and hardly any festive-fun pictures taken. Of course I knew this would happen so I have no one to blame but myself, silly silly me. I have a feeling 2012 will be filled with the awesomeness that 2011 lacked. It will definitely be one of the most important years for me as I will be graduating from university, which is super scary and exciting at the same time! Hope you all have a fantastic year! xoxo

Hello sunshine

(jacket & jeans Asos, ankle boots Schuh, necklace F21, backpack vintage)

These photos were taken a few days ago while I was still in Athens. We had about half an hour until the sun left the sky completely, so we had to track it down which meant going up hills where its last glimpses weren't hidden by Athens' tall buildings. My next post will be from Crete where I will be spending the rest of my holidays before returning to London; gonna try to make them extra special so.. stay posted!

What's under the skin

These are three shots by German portrait photographer Anna Bauer. I recently read an interview of hers for
i-D magazine and was fascinated by her interesting and different way of shooting. The images are from her backstage collection, and are shot using large format camera and Polaroid film. In the busy backstage area of catwalk shows, she finds the subject who then must stand still and look directly at the camera for at least two minutes. The results are very intimate portraits; 'the subject is part of the process and therefore they let you in more'. For me these pictures are all about the eyes and their intensity and sincerity. She shoots while fashion is happening, without arranging the portraits which disables the subjects to overthink and just to 'be'.Read her interview here.

Athens bound

(knit Boohoo,shorts Topshop, boots Ugg)

Just arrived in Athens 2 days ago, happy to be home for the holidays. A little break from uni was needed, although I still have a lot of coursework. This was a chilly day, I wish I wore something warmer but I like this outfit none the less. Burgundy is my new favourite colour, Im still searching for the perfect burgundy boots!!

Attitude

Ashley Smith in VEDA for Reformation from VEDA on Vimeo.

Love this editorial in which Ashley Smith stars as the face of VEDA x Reformation's holiday 2011 collection shot by Ari Marcopoulos. These pictures have such a great rock n roll style and attitude. Vintage looks reworked with my favourite materials, lace, leather and velvet, can never go wrong! Every piece in this collection is unique, personally I would like them all! And how cool is the video? Such a cheeky little attitude!

(sweater Carven Gargoyle,silk bra Debenhams,fedora hat Christies',gloves Rag&Bone,boots Versace for H&M,bag Mulberry)

If I were to make a Christmas wish list, it would probably look something like this. I love that sweater and I've been dreaming to get my hands on the Mulberry Alexa since it was first in stores! Oh, why does everything have to be so expensive?! Hope you like these items!

Love

If you could fall in love with a pair of shoes, I think for me it would be this one. Everything about them is perfect:
suede, burgundy, classic cut. Just think of all the outfits you could pair these beauties up with!
Unfortunately, they will not be found in my shoe collection any time soon as they are by
D&G and way over my price range. You can buy them here.

Festive spirit

;

These pictures are all from the Christmas market on South Bank: the second, third and forth are three of the little stands there, I just loved those handmade leather coated notebooks, so vintage! And, well, how can you not be in love with carousels, everything about them is so magical..The festive spirit is finally here! Hope you like them!

London calling

(shirt Topshop, pants River Island, leather jacket Kookai, shoes Boohoo)

So, today I spent my day in London and had a really good time! We went all around embankment; it's
so beautiful, especially now they have the Christmas Market with the cutest stalls selling everything you can think of from little gifts to food, sweets and mulled wine. I'm really starting to feel the Christmas spirit, I'm literally counting down the days until the holidays! I did like the outfit I chose but I have to admit walking around all day in skin tight pants and wedges is not the best idea. Just wanna give a great thanks to my friend Pam who took these pictures and listened to me moaning about my feet being in pain from those shoes all day! Was a great day all in all, went to the theatre to see Playboy of the Western World in the evening which was an interesting play.. Now, finally sleep, i'm exhausted! Hope you like my outfit. xoxo

Oh, yes!

These beauties just arrived today from Boohoo and I think I'm in love again! They are even better than I had expected and  so soft! Although they will probably kill my feet at first until they get worn in to, I can't wait to wear them! Oh, the possibilities of outfits with these..!
